How to make sure roaming is set up
As an EE business customer, you may already be set up, but here's how to check:
Text ROAMING to 150 (it's free) before you travel.
You'll get a text either confirming you're set up, or telling you how to set up roaming on your device.
Remember - roaming can take anything up to 24 hours to become active on your account, so it's really important to check you're set up well before you set off.

EU changes: Which destinations are covered?
Our Europe Zone presently includes:, Austria, Azores, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Canary Islands, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guyana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Islands, Romania, San Marino, Saint Martin (French), Saint Barthelemy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Vatican City (Italy).
Note: Turkey (you may connect to a Turkish network in Northern Cyprus) and Andorra are outside the EU/EEA and not included in our European Roaming Zone.

Important info for Android devices
You should check you haven't barred international services. Go to: Phone App > Call Settings > Call Barring
The Outgoing international, Outgoing international roaming and Incoming international roaming options should be disabled. If any of these bars are enabled, contact Customer Services.

What happens to my EU passes & add-ons?
Everything you get with these passes and add-ons is now included in your plan at no extra charge. We’ll remove it automatically from your account as you won’t need it.

Is there a limit to how much data I can use in the EU?
Limits known as Fair Use Policy are included in your plan's terms and conditions. The fair use policy is 15GB for all plans with a domestic data allowance of more than 15GB, except 50GB 24-month plans and 32GB 36-month plans, which have a fair use policy of 25GB. Customers on Business Connect plans are exempt from the Fair Use Policy.
When the Fair Use Policy applies to you, once you have used up 15GB when roaming in the EU, we will notify you and you’ll have to buy a data add-on if you want to keep using data when roaming

What data speeds can I expect when roaming?
Data speeds outside the UK will depend on the local network you connect to. 4G may or may not be available. As in the UK, your coverage and speed will vary depending on your location, the number of people on the network and other factors such as weather and geography.

Important information for customers on Business Connect plans
After 15th June, Business Connect will work in the EU in the same way as it does in the UK. This means that when your allowance is used up, data will be charged at 1.6p per MB. To help Business Connect customers manage their costs, we will automatically apply a €50 cap (currently £42), per user, to data usage when roaming in the EU. (Equivalent to approx. 2.6GB)
If you wish to continue using data in the EU, after the cap has been activated, you will need to call customer service or text 1MCAP to 150 to unblock usage until your next bill. Or you could choose to remove this cap permanently at any time by texting STOPEUCAP to 150.

What if I have a non EU roaming and/or International Direct Dial (IDD) allowance?
If you have a non EU roaming allowance or an allowance that allows you to call from the UK to abroad, this will continue to be available on your plan as before. Your EU roaming usage will firstly come from your price plan allowance, and if you use all of this, usage will come from your additional allowance..

Where can I call with my minutes allowance?
When you're roaming in the EU, you can check your voicemail, use your minutes allowance to call back to the UK, make calls inside the country you're visiting and to call any other country within the EU. Calls to premium rate numbers are chargeable. And if you're calling abroad from the UK you'll be charged - unless you have an international calling add-on.

What about countries outside the EU?
The inclusive allowances don’t apply when calling or sending texts to countries outside of our Europe Zone. In this case the standard rates apply.
Find all the info you need about destinations outside the EU.

Can I use my plan for ‘permanent roaming’?
EE plans are for customers who normally reside in the UK, and travel abroad on regular basis. What this means is that to be able to take an EE plan you must spend a total of 60 days or more during any 120 day period within the UK.

From 15th June customers on eligible plans will be able to use their minutes, texts and data at no extra cost when roaming in the EU/EEA. Speed and service will vary depending on the service available in the country you visit. You must be normally resident in the UK. Deposit may be required in limited circumstances. Data fair usage policy may apply.
